Drawing comparisons to Björk, Sinead O'Connor and Sylvan Esso, Shrines is the moniker of Brooklyn-based singer and musician Carrie Erving (Ponyhof, Will Butler). Shrines’ debut EP Release was produced by Rosana Cabán (Psychic Twin). Shrines’ video EP of reimagined traditional Irish songs, called Our Ship Is Ready was released in 2021. Her new EP Seasons, inspired by the fluctuations of the natural world, will be released in fall 2024.
